We are in ARKANSAS and livin it up!
We came down Sunday evening with our friends with McGargills. They came to Arkansas with us last year and said that they were more excited for the trip to Arkansas than they were for Disney World (which they recently visited). Now that is saying something about how amazing my parent's house is
We are enjoying our vacation in Arkansas with Nana and Papa. It is non-stop action here though. Swimming, fishing, swimming, running, swimming, jumping, swimming, eating, swimming, tennis, swimming, lizard hunting....
Yes, we are doing some extreme lizard hunting here searching for the cutest little lizards you have ever seen. There are a lot of little anole lizards running around outside my parents house. Dan and Joe have been catching them and then the kids all take turns holding them, poor little lizards.
Rex, my insect, animal loving boy is in heaven! He loves lizard hunting and is thrilled when he can get his little hands on the anole. We are working on no squishing it, there are no causalities yet.
Look at these studs.
All the 6 kids held the lizard. We were all so impressed. It even ran up Myla's arm and she still went back for another hold.
My pretty little girl.
Not sure where the lizard is in this picture but this is when it ran up her arm. Amazingly calm and cool. This little girl is a brave one.
Giving the lizard a little break and loving their fabulous friends. Hannah is Joe and Jill's oldest. She will be 4 this summer and is a huge hit in our house. Everyone loves Hannah.
Attempt #2 was more successful. Isn't it so cute!
Check out Hannah!
Joe and Jill's youngest Josiah held the lizard on his back!
Dan being Dan... goofy guy.
Rex getting another try with his favorite little pal.
Joe being goofy as well!
Lizard hunting is on our list of things to do today along with swimming and more swimming. It's a busy time here. We are going to embrace our last day of Arkansas today, heading back to Iowa tomorrow. Dan is talking about sneaking some lizards home with us, I'm sure he would have some volunteers to help him. I however will do my best to leave all the lizards in Arkansas. Totally enjoying our vacation.
