HOME TOGETHER!!

Rex and Myla are HOME!!! They got discharged from the hospital on Monday and were united with their older brother Monday night. What an incredible blessing that they were able to come home together. The doctors warned us many times that twins coming home together rarely happens... but our babies astounded them again and came home together. Myla did not want to be left alone at the hospital and worked hard at learning to eat! They left the hospital weighing 6 lbs 7 oz for Rex and 4 lbs 5 oz for Myla. Myla had to get a premie carseat from the hospital to come home in because she was under 5 lbs but we are thankful that she is home depsite her small size. I was telling Dan the other day how she doesn't even seem small to me anymore, I guess I am just used to her size now and both of them will only keep getting bigger!

I have been asked repeatedly for pictures and I will do my best to keep up. Dan and Quinton are off on an adventure to the pet store... a favorite spot for the two of them, and Rex and Myla are sleeping. This is how I left them to come and post some pictures for you all! So with a few minutes to spare I thought I would share my beautiful family with you all!

Rex and Myla sleeping while I post some pictures! They look like little burritos... Dan says they look like little meatloafs... hmmmm... Meeting Rex and Myla for the first time!
Letting us know that they are babies (a new favorite word)
Not quite sure what to think...
Protecting his baby sister!
We are examining Myla to make sure all her toes are there!
My beautiful new babies. Check out the difference in their size!
Bonding while they are all awake!
So precious! I honestly could not be happier that we are all at home together!
Enjoying one anothers company again after being "Womb" mates... a joke that my friend Sarah shared with me... pretty clever I though!
No, we have not gone crazy and forgotten where his pants go through all of this... we are just being goofy with our favorite 18 month old!
Before Rex and Myla came home, Quinton got a little practice being gentle with his cousin Hudson! What handsome Rude boys!
Watching leaves fall... a new activity for the fall!
He found a leaf falling!
Helping me unload the groceries! What a little helper!
So handsome and helpful!

Helping Mom in the kitchen... don't worry we will wash the bowls before guest come
Things have been going wonderful since they got home. No major problems. We rented a scale from the hospital for a while until the babies get better at eating. It continues to still be so much work for both of them but they are gaining weight so I know they are getting something! Quinton does not seem to bothered by them. He likes to hold them (for about 2 seconds but he asks often) and he steals their blankets, but other than that he doesn't seem to impacted by them... I'm sure the real test will be when it is just me and my three babies! But we are praying that things continue to go well.

Thank you all for your prayers while they were in the NICU. We are truly blessed to have so many friends and family praying for us and encouraging us. We are so happy that they are home. We are excited to figure out what our new "normal" life looks like as a family for 5! We are totally in love with all three of our children and we cannot wait to see all that the Lord has planned for their lives. We have not doubt that we are in for a crazy adventure! Thank you again and I will do my best to keep the pictures coming!
