Meg

I'm Meg.

Most people blog because they are good at something. I however am not crafty, don’t have an eye for design, I can’t turn a piece of old furniture into something extravagant, or take an old shirt and make it into a beautiful new outfit, I have no idea how to run a sewing machine much less sew a button on a shirt properly, if you give me a recipe and tell me to follow it, it will probably end up burned or tasting nothing like what it is supposed to. I’m not a baker, I can’t even manage to make rice krispie treats that are not rock hard, I’ve even screwed up cookies from a tube so if you’re looking for someone with those talents I’m not your girl.

But, despite my inabilities in the kitchen my family has never gone hungry, despite my inabilities with a sewing machine my children are always clothed and despite my inabilities to be creative my house still feels like a home.

I’m nothing special but Dan married me knowing full well what he was getting. I love being a mom of our 4 wee ones. It’s hard to even remember what my life was like before children, I’m assuming it was far less busy, somewhat relaxing but way less exciting.

I am a firm believer of getting on the floor and getting dirty with your kids, I’m an expert at reading books, I can play a mean bear that chases little children, I’m an skilled tickle monster, and try to be a great encourager of my children and my husband.

More important than my role as a wife and mother is my role as a daughter of the King. I love the Lord with my whole heart and I try to lay down my life daily. I want my life to be used to the fullest in things that count for eternity so that someday I will hear Him say, "well done good and faithful servant." I strive to be an ambassador through my actions and my words and to represent the Lord well to a world that needs him.

I love my life and although most days I fall asleep the moment my head hits the pillow from extreme exhaustion, I would not change a thing about it!
